A little more on sparring
Each session is divided into three types of progressive spar activities.
If you want to take your training to a whole new level we are pleased to announce the addition of sparring sessions. Students who spar will be able to accentuate the precision of their technique, strategic thinking of ones skills. Gain first-hand experience of one on one, or multiple attack fighting scenarios' in a controlled and safe setting.
Sparring equipment is mandatory. Even though we practice light contact and non contact drills. All students must have headgear, forearm, elbow pads, Foot gear, shin pads, mouth guard, and 16 oz gloves.
Technical Sparring
Every action is measured and specific. Offensive partner will throw a move, for example a Jab just short of the target (Chin), the defensive partner will use a specific block or move to defend. Partners take turns and after several repetitions of the same type of block can then move on to the next move. This is the beginning steps for the defender to learn to see and react properly to specific kicks, and punches. While the offense learns proper distance and develop muscle control and balance of their whole body and limbs.

Conditioned Sparring
The conditions that are applied in this type of sparring are tailored to a specific scenario in order to enhance the development of specific skills and tactical awareness. For example, boxers might only use jabs for the round. This forces them to really appreciate the benefits of a good jab. It’s especially useful for boxers who have the constant urge to use the power punches or hooks, letting them solely implement the skill of using their jab to open the opponent and close the range to the target successfully. Most important it allows one to learn concentrate their defensive ability one punch at a time, instead of worrying about a bunch of shots coming. Once participants gain experience, other conditions can be added.
